2022 Basin Electric Annual Meeting: Know before you go

Before you attend Basin Electric’s 2022 Annual Membership Meeting, which runs Nov. 8-10, here are a few helpful reminders.

New directors, managers, and staff orientation and tour

An orientation and tour for new directors, managers, and staff will be offered in conjunction with the annual meeting. The orientation and tour will be held Nov. 8 from 8 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. at the Bismarck Event Center. Additional information will be provided to attendees signed up for this session.  

Pre-Annual Meeting reception

This year’s reception will be held Nov. 8 from 6-9 p.m. at Basin Electric Headquarters, located at 1717 East Interstate Ave., Bismarck, North Dakota. Heavy hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be served.

Shuttles for the reception
Shuttles will run continuously between Basin Electric Headquarters and the scheduled hotels. Visit our shuttle schedule page on basinelectric.com. Parking will also be available for guests on the west side of the building. Please use the west parking lot entrance.

Registration

Prior to the meeting, be sure to check in at the registration desk to pick up your name badge and registration packet. Registration will open at 6:30 a.m. on Nov. 9. The registration desk is located in the lobby area of the Bismarck Event Center exhibit hall.  

Meeting

The meeting will be held at the Bismarck Event Center in the exhibit hall, located at 315 5^th St., Bismarck, North Dakota.

A full-day meeting will convene Nov. 9 at 8:30 a.m. and conclude at approximately 4:30 p.m. A social and banquet will follow, beginning at 6 p.m.

Willis Sparks will be this year’s keynote speaker. Sparks is the director of Global Macro at Eurasia Group and is a leader on topics such as risk, opportunity, and trends created by geopolitical conflicts and developments in both emerging market countries and the U.S. His speeches on market-moving trends in international politics span the globe.

Another special guest speaker will be Rusty Braziel. Braziel is the founder and executive chairman of RBN Energy. He’s known for his expertise in the field of marketing, trading, and purchasing of energy commodities, along with his ability to bring clarity to the constant influx of information coming from energy markets.

Shuttles for the meeting

The shuttle system for the meeting will work similar to last year. The shuttles will pick up and drop guests off at the Event Center's entrance on 5^th Street at no charge. Visit our shuttle schedule page on basinelectric.com.

Parking will be available for guests on the west and south side of the Bismarck Event Center. Please use the E42 entrance doors on the west side.

Members-Only Meeting
Following the Annual Meeting, a Members-Only Meeting will be held the morning of Nov. 10. The meeting will convene at 8 a.m. and will conclude at approximately noon. It will be a closed-door session for member directors, member managers, and member staff. Registration is required.
