Basin Electric named a top 10 workplace by Young Professionals Network

Basin Electric employees accept the YP Network's Top 10 Workplaces Award.

Basin Electric has been named one of the top 10 places to work in Bismarck and Mandan, North Dakota, by the Young Professionals Network (YP Network).

The YP Network is dedicated to professional development, entrepreneurship, community service, and networking. It creates and fosters connections between its members and local businesses and organizations and welcomes all professionals between the ages of 21 and 40.

Basin Electric Employment Coordinator Darcy Roberts, Power Modeling Engineer Justin Geffre, and

Employment Coordinator Corey Helm receive the award on behalf of Basin Electric.

To qualify for the award, employers must employ young professionals under 40 and develop and execute strategies to advance employment of young professionals in the workplace. Additionally, an employer is evaluated on the quality and type of benefits offered.

Basin Electric was chosen for the award based on several factors including its commitment to recruiting and retaining young professionals, offering a competitive benefit package, job-specific training, volunteer and professional development opportunities, and supporting a healthy work-life balance.

“We are extremely honored and grateful to receive the Young Professionals Top 10 Award,” said Kayla Hieb, Basin Electric vice president of Human Resources. “Thank you to our young professionals and all of our employees who make Basin Electric an extraordinary place to work!”
